The second release of our imperial stout Ghost Elephant. Once again, we aged it in a Caol Ila whisky barrel — a peated Scotch from the Isle of Islay. But this time, before the whisky, the barrel held noble Oloroso Sherry instead of red wine. The aroma is delicately smoky, with notes of iodine, seaweed, prunes, raisins, and oak. The flavor is smooth and balanced, with a touch of sweetness and a deep, lingering finish.
